through vital processes.
2. provision with means or funds for
upkeep.
3. means of sustaining life; sustenance
Origin:
13501400; ME < L sustentation- (s. of sustentatio)
an upholding, equiv. to sustentat(us) (ptp. of sustentare,
freq. of sustinere to sustain ) + -ion- -ion
The DCP conducts
an annual sustentation drive beginning December 1. This fundraising
campaign is a significant part of our budget each year, and
during these challenging economic times the sustentation drive
is more important than ever. Board members, volunteers, and
friends of the preschool send information to some of their
friends and associates who would be interested in supporting
the preschool. If you receive a request from a friend of the
preschool, please consider a positive response so that we
can continue our programs for at-risk children in Denton.
Donations can be made in any amount, and donors have the option
of making the donation in honor of or in memory of someone
else. When a name and addresses of a family member is provided,
that person will be notified if a donation is made in the
memory of a loved one. When a donation is made in honor of
someone, the honoree is notified. All donations to the sustentation
drive are welcome and encouraged they may be made directly
to the school without a letter of request!

Plant Sale
Order Form - Print and Mail to the School
Each year, this event has grown, not only in community
participation, but in the selection of plant material available.
For several years the plant stock consisted of seasonal color
and hanging baskets. Last year the sale was expanded to encompass
vegetable plants, herbs, perennial flowers and ground cover.
The plants are purchased directly from growers to ensure the
best quality and plant selection specifically for our area.
Once again, this event is staffed by a loyal group of community
volunteers dedicated to the success of Denton Christian Preschool
and the students so in need of DCP services. Come join the
fun! You will find it all under the big tent on
the school grounds next to Erwin Hall. For plant sale order
forms, questions or volunteer opportunities please contact
the DCP office.
DCP Appreciates your support!!
